Watch me grow and change as I progress thru my art. I never do the same thing twice. It is a forever changing, learning, growing process for me.

Tree of Life Mosaic
I found a great vintage book containing some pretty amazing illustrations. The square tiles are made form images in the book. I hand carved the clay to make the leaves.
I love how the heavy smooth frame complements the smoothness of the glass. I love how the blue glass in the black setting becomes more vivid and really is like a bright blue sky. Your branch and leaves are wonderfully organic and make a great foil for the smoothness of the glass.
I live in a small hamlet in New Hampshire with my husband and son. It is a quintessential New England town with lots of character and history. We have a sweet golden and a black cat (did you know black cats are the last to be adopted?). I am making art again, after a break to raise my son. I have been away from my creative side for too long. I spent all my time on play dates and themed parties. I took my son to every art show and gallery I could find. I took him to music lessons and to live shows. I took him to plays and the theatre. I have tried to expose him to every food and culture I could find. I was obsessed with showing him all the different ways an artist can express themselves. We have lived all over the country and travelled as much as possible. Which is never enough for me!
