On Paper

"On Paper" Is a gorgeous little paper shop located in the "Short North" district of Columbus, Ohio. This shop is a treasure! I have known the owner, Joan Schnee, since she was a very young woman. I remember her dreams of owning a Paper Shop. Joan would tell me about how to actually make paper. It was her passion. I feel like I knew "On Paper" before it even came to exist! Well, the shop is real now, and has been for quite some time. To me it represents a time gone by. A time when people took the time to sit down and think about each other. The lost art of pen to paper, carefully sealing an envelope, selecting the perfect stamp. I don't know about you, but receiving a hand written note or letter is still one of the greatest pleasures in life. Joan's shop also is a place to rediscovery the art of etiquette, talk about a dying art! Joan knows how to create and deliver fine, crafted and artful invitations and thank you notes. Have you ever looked etiquette up in a dictionary? It is not something you have to go to "Miss Manner's School" for. It is the art of considering other people's feelings. It is the art of making people feel welcome and comfortable.
